Final Poster One:
As a group we decided that this poster was the most eye-catching out of all our Photoshop drafts. Maria created it with the idea of wanting the storyline to be represented through the image, therefore she wanted Ashlee's face to be less clear, in comparison to Amy's face. I believe this image works so well for the poster because it also shows the carousel ride in the background, which is what they are shown on in the film, therefore I is clearly related and relevant.
However there were a couple of elements to Maria's poster that we decided to change. Such as:
1. Removing one of the film festival logo's and swapping it for a one that was coloured in black, in order to be able to clearly see it against the image
2. Enlarging the film magazine review quotes
3. Changing the film magazine review font colour
4. Adjusting positioning of film magazine names, in order to fit into the correct margin
Original Poster that I adjusted:
By changing the film festival to a logo that was black in colour, instead of in red it fitted a lot better against the busy, light coloured background. In addition, by enlarging and moving up the film magazine quotes, it ensured that each quote was symmetrical and wouldn't be cut of the bottom when it is printed. Going from a size 8 font to 9 also made a suttle, yet good difference and made them stand out more. Similarly, by changing the colour of the film review quotes from a yellow/orange colour to white also made them more eye-catching and clear for the audience to read.
Overall, as a group we are happy with this final poster and believe it relates very well to our film and that it will entice out target audience.
